Uchida Acupuncture

Traditional Relief for the Modern Masses
welcome to the office lucky cat photo

Like Yin and Yang

Modern technology and ancient wisdom blend seamlessly at Uchida Acupuncture to offer you the best of both worlds. Western and Eastern approaches to medical care are complementary, not competing. The majority of our patients were referred by their medical doctor who trusts the quality care that Uchida Acupuncture provides.

Uchida Acupuncture specializes in the treatment of work injuries, pain management, chronic musculoskeletal and neurological disorders and stress-related disorders. Even if two people come with the same diagnosis from their doctor, they may have completely different treatment strategies at Uchida Acupuncture because we treat the person, not the disease.

  • Within the last 14 days, you are not aware of coming into contact with any person infected with COVID-19.

  • Within the last 7 days, you have not experienced a fever greater than 100 degrees, chronic cough, difficulty breathing or flu-like symptoms.

  • If you become sick or feel unwell before your scheduled appointment, please call to cancel. You will not be penalized for late cancellations at this time.

COVID 19 Office Policies

The best evidence thus far indicates that Covid-19 is spread primarily by tiny droplets sprayed from the mouth when coughing, sneezing and possibly speaking. Droplets can be sprayed up to six feet before falling to the ground. You can become infected if you breathe in these droplets while they are in the air, or if they land on your hand, and you touch your mouth, nose or eyes. It is much less common to become infected by touching surfaces like a table or doorknob. Up to 50% of people infected may never show symptoms, but they can still spread the virus asymptomatically.

  • You will be asked about your health status at time of your appointment and will not be treated if you answer "no" to any of the criteria listed above.

  • Please use your mask whenever possible to minimize droplet spray from your mouth.

  • Please use the hand sanitizer before you enter the treatment room. If you are wearing gloves, please remove them and use the hand sanitizer instead. You may put your gloves back on when leaving.

  • If you are accompanied by other people, all persons must stay in your treatment room during the appointment. People will not be allowed to wait for you in the lobby area.

  • Uchida Acupuncture maintains a low-volume practice, treating only two patients per hour, each in separate treatment rooms. Social distancing is already built-in to our business model.

  • High touch surfaces such as door handles, chair arms and front desk are disinfected twice a day. Treatment tables are disinfected after each patient visit. Acupuncturist hands are washed between each patient.
